	163.	Twilight Road: original oil painting on canvas by Dapu (Zhang Ai Min) 2009 When I met Dapu a few years ago, I was very pleased. I could tell he had talent, and he also listened to my critique of his work, which is a good thing for any professional to do. He was happy to meet me, too, because he though that I really understood his work, and, prior to meeting me, most of his works went directly to big collectors, leaving him little chance for exposure. I have seen good development and experiment with differing styles from him, and this painting shows me that he has really grown, as an artist: it is pure expressionism. In fact, other dealer, when they see this painting, think that it from a much more mature artist. It is a wonderful step in Dapu's artistic development, and we are pleased to be able to present this work to you. 	773.	Los Angeles Beach, original oil painting by Tan Xuesheng (2000) In addition to the colors, we also were attracted by the movement in this work. Tan and his wife, artist Xu Jain Bai, moved from Guangzhou, China to America, in the early 1990's. Tan's work became more impressionistic in style and color, in the later part of his career. 		Xu Hong Bei Horses: Xiangxiu hand embroidery Xu Hong Bei is one of the founders of contemporary Chinese painting, although his approach was from the East. 	620.	Returning Fishing Boats, original oil painting on canvas by Li Jin Ming (1984) 归鱼布面油画 This scene is from Zhuhai at the end of the day when the fishing boats have returned. Li says that it shows more of the true nature of fishing villages throughout China, as opposed to the many more modern scenes that he has made of harbors with big modern boats. 	820.	Crowd, multimedia work on paper by Tang Hai Guo Sure, it's a bit on the childish side, but that only makes it more adorable. Crowds are everywhere in China, and with the shift from a village society to a modern urban society, the faces in the crowds show the variety in the fifty-plus so-called minority peoples that make up modern Chinese. It is a multiple commentary on what life has evolved into in modern China.			$700		52x38cm

	684.	Freight Terminal: original oil painting by Xue Sheng Tan (1964) This is really a classic piece. It shows a freight terminal at a port in China, in the 1960's, using block and tackle, much like I see commonly used, otherwise, in China, today. However, sea freight terminals have become large mechanized places, now, that someone from those older days would hardly recognize.			$17,500		52.5x40cm
